Towergroup is projecting that online banking will continue to grow while use of ATMs and bank branches will stay flat. This is a watershed event in that we will should not expect to see any more ATMs or bank branches opening in our neighborhoods. At some point these financial outlets may go the way of the phone booth – disappear.
