NXP-Kestrel Solution Eliminates DVD Theft Throughout Supply Chain

New anti-theft solution looks promising using Radio Frequency Activation (RSA) technology and Radio Frequency ID (RFID) technology. The RSA technology disables the DVDs or consumer electronics with a RSA/RFID tag at the point of manufacture and then enables the product at the retail point of sale using a RFA/RFID reader. A RFID network can also track the tagged item from the point of manufacture to the retail point of sale.
