I believe most people have ordered checks and received them in the mail. I think in most cases I could recognize the package when checkbooks arrive in the mail from the bank. The issue is that thieves can identify the package too when your checkbook re-order comes in the mail.
In a case with Wells Fargo someone had their checkbook re-order package stolen off their front porch. The real bad news is that when he contacted the bank, he was told that he would need to close his bank account and open another one. The bank’s reason for closing the account was that the theft was for more than six checks. Looks like at some banks at least, their system cannot void large groups of checks.
