China now has an Internet-addiction campaign where they have funded eight in-patient rehabilitation clinics to treat “internet addiction”. China is also taking other measures to fight internet addiction. China’s internet regulations include banning youths from Internet cafés and putting into place control programs that limit teens playing networked games for more than five hours at a time. Other countries such as South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam have also put in place similar measures to address internet addiction.
