Medical Billing Small Business Opportunity - Scam?
I see a lot of so-called small business opportunities for medical billing services. I would have to say that most of them are scams or at best they are small business opportunities with little chance of success. Yes, there is a need for medical billing services. The question is would a company go to a small business startup to provide this complex service or would they use an established medical billing services company. The answer is that most if not all businesses would go with an established company. For a small business you need to have an unique service offering to compete in a mature and complex industry such as medical billing outsourcing.Â
I was surprised to see that the WSJ Startup Journal posting, Networking Can Help Boost a Small Business, had an article giving advice for a startup medical billing services company. Even in the WSJ article it commented that starting a medical billing services for a small business was challenging at best.
