Smart Cell Phones Winning Market Share Over Handhelds

The handheld / PDA market is shrinking at a rate of 20% a year. This is primarily because cell phones are getting smarter. ZDNet posts :
» Worldwide handheld market down 22.3% in Q1 2006. I assume these statistics are only counting PDAs and handhelds that do not have a cell phone capability.

As I stated in a previous posting, Out Of Pockets For All Your Electronic Devices?, some people like myself are turning to ultra-lite notebooks smaller than a sheet of paper that can be used as a PDA, digital music player, and VoIP phone.
