In a variation of the Nigerian e-mail scam a woman sent $10,000 to a man who said he was an American citizen working in Nigeria. The woman had met him on a dating site and had never met him in person. Never saw her money again. In another dating site scam a woman loaned a man $109,000 to start up a trucking company. Never saw her money again.
