eCommerce can be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands. The same eCommerce technology we use to buy, sell, and share goods and services are also being used by terrorists, thieves, and phishers.
Just like where there is no central authority for legitimate eCommerce, there is no central gang or group that is controlling criminal enterprise on the internet.
Phishing Networks. One person steals personal information online, another person buys the stolen social security numbers online, another person opens fraudulent credit card accounts online, and so on.
Terrorist Network. One group recruits suicide bombers online, another group makes the the bombs and sells them online, another terrorist researches and identifies the target online, and so on.
