PayPal vs Google Checkout
CNet compares the differences between Paypal and Google Checkout in a very simple list. Pretty cool.
CNet’s Elsa Wenzel conclusion is that PayPal currently has more features than Google Checkout. This is true, but Google has the advantage of offering a complete fulfillment solution for merchants that includes online marketing and customer-facing order processing. I see this as a powerful combination that no other payment processor can offer.
Google Checkout is offering a new way to buy stuff online that has no competitor. We will have to see if merchants can use this new tool to increase conversions and make shopping more convenient for consumers.
