Is your personal computer ready for college?

I have spent a lot of time this week helping my two daughters with their computers to get ready for college. I’ve been around computers since the 80s, but it is still time consuming making sure printers work, Virus software is working, and just working through other problems. My oldest daughter’s 2-year old Dell laptop was overheating. Looks like dust inside the laptop was clogging it up. We took that to the repair shop and got it fixed for 30 dollars. I thought for a minute I was going to have to buy a new laptop. I’m not sure how families that are new to computers manage with getting their kids off to college. I guess the best thing to do if you are new to computers is to just get a new laptop with a warranty.
