Hi, you’ve just been hijacked. Now buy our stuff!
Here is a new type of Adware where a spammer uses live texting to get you to buy something.
Digg.com post, “Instant Messaging Adware attacks are bad enough. But someone using a live chat operator to try and sell you a supposed “security product” mid-hijack is pushing things a little too far…!”
Now that the “Do Not Call” registry is in place we all have received relief from marketers calling our house. Now it looks like we will start getting live calls from spammers through our internet connection. If a spammer can reach us live with text messaging, it is not to long before they will start using live voice chat to interrupt us. I wonder if a “Do Not Spam Registry” would do any good?
