FBI Raids Creator of Fake Boarding Pass Generator

It is amazing the billions that are spent on airport security, and someone can find a simple way to get around it. Case in point is the man that created the Airlines Boarding Pass Generator. I would think an airline boarding pass can be generated with fairly simple technology. All a terrorist would need to do is find a flight that normally does not fly full, pick a middle seat, generate the airline boarding pass for that middle seat to match his fake driver’s license, and then they would breeze by the airport security checkpoint.

Digg.com posts, “Christopher Soghoian created the Northwest Airlines Boarding Pass Generator to demonstrate flaws in the government’s implementation of airport security and the so-called no-fly list. Then the FBI agents kept a federal judge awake until two in the morning to get a search warrant and raided his house in a predawn raid Saturday morning.”

Seems like the Homeland Security airport security checkpoints need to start using some type of scanning technology that matches up an unique code generated by the airlines as check-in.
