Diggers and Bloggers Unite, We Are A Content Nation

Excellent article,  Content Nation: A World of Personal Publishers Declares Their Influential Citizenship, from John Blossom at Shore.com. This article explores how a core group of influence bloggers (some are large influencers and other are small) are shaping world opinion.

Based on previous studies from Pew, John Blossom estimates there are almost 14 million bloggers in the world that are overtly trying to shape other people’s opinion. 14 million people equate to being the 65th largest nation in the world, thus the term Content Nation.

John further estimates that if these influence bloggers influence an average of 24 unique individuals they are influencing the 4th largest nation on Earth. Wow, think about that! Blogging and social networks like Digg.com are changing the world.
