An Online Game, Made in U.S., Seizes the Globe
Multi-user World of Warcraft (WOW) online game now has millions of paid subscribers all of the world. As these types of games are only offered online and are in some ways a social network, software providers of these games do not need to be concerned with piracy.
Application Service Providers (ASP) have been around for years, but with the financial success of World of Warcraft this is sure to be the way software will be delivered in the future. The day of buying prepackaged software in the store will soon be replaced by ASPs.
