A Nation Divided Over Piracy

Digg.com posting: “Last Jan. 1, almost on a whim, 35-year-old IT manager Rickard Falkvinge got into politics. Concerned about the reach of copyright and patent law, Falkvinge erected a web page with a sign-up form for a radical new pro-piracy party to compete in Sweden’s parliamentary system.”

Long, but interesting article about how digital technology is making copyright law obsolete. Many people think that It’s an inevitability that digital data will always be able to be copied in the future. If this ends up being true, a new business model needs to emerge on how to reward people that produce original content like music, books, etc. For me (at least for now), I do not promote online piracy.
