RFID License Plates Used To Track People

There are several developments in regard to RFID license plates. In Britain trials will start shortly on using RFID license plates to track vehicles. In the U.S., RFID tags are already being issued to foreign freight and passenger vehicles as they enter the country. The rise in the use of active RFID tags for vehicles is as a result of law enforcement agencies using RFID technology to combat terrorists. Some privacy groups are concerned that RFID license plates and RFID tags for cars are certain to invade people’s privacy. See Wired posting Brit License Plates Get Chipped

I have privacy concerns, but at the same time the Government should be allowed to protect us from terrorists and criminals using the latest RFID technology. It seems like RFID license plates need to be used in Iraq. I’m sure if all cars had RFID license plates in Iraq it would help to detect and stop car bombers.
