There are several developments in regard to RFID license plates. In Britain trials will start shortly on using RFID license plates to track vehicles. In the U.S., RFID tags are already being issued to foreign freight and passenger vehicles as they enter the country. The rise in the use of active RFID tags for vehicles is as a result of law enforcement agencies using RFID technology to combat terrorists. I have privacy concerns, but at the same time the Government should be allowed to protect us from terrorists and criminals using the latest RFID technology. It seems like RFID license plates need to be used in Iraq. I’m sure if all cars had RFID license plates in Iraq it would help to detect and stop car bombers.
