On The Go? Looking For A Prom Dress? Hotels? Try Google’s Local Mobile Search
Google has a new map search capability that definitely beats anything I have seen on Mapquest. Google’s is now offering Local Mobile Search. Just put WHAT (search term) and WHERE (zip code or location). For example, you can be driving in your car and enter “Akron, Ohio” for WHAT and “prom dress”. Google Local Mobile Search will then come back with a nice map showing stores carrying prom dresses in the area. See “chinese” search example below.

Google has added another service to their mobile offerings: Google Local. Punch in your search term, as well as the location or zip code to limit your search, and receive a nice, mobile-sized Google Map with details listed below. The service is—in typical Google style—free.
