ID Theft Protection Using Prepaid Debit Cards Or Cash
I continue to feature prepaid debit cards as a great way to shop online. The benefits include: prepaid debit card not tied to your bank account or credit account providing protection from identity theft; you can direct deposit your paycheck on a prepaid debit card and save on outrageous check cashing fees; the debit card just holds your money so there is not debt or high interest; with an identity check anyone 18 or over can get a Mastercard or Visa.
All the concerns about identity theft makes a prepaid debit card more of a good deal as a shopping “credit card” both online and in your local area. I was thinking that the prepaid debit card would soon make cash obsolete, but now I am not so sure. Recent polls shows that some people are starting to get away from both credit and debit cards in favor of cash because of ID theft concerns.
