All the large internet companies are now buying or providing VoIP services. The list of companies that have VoIP providers include Yahoo!, Google, and MSN. Now eBay is buying Skype for 4.1 billion dollars. Skype offers free PC-to-PC calling and regular phone calling at a low price.

eBay’s primary motivation for buying a VoIP provider is to enhance their customers’ eBay buying experience. eBay will be offering such VoIP services as displaying to potential buyers that a seller is online and offering the option to initiate a phone call to the seller.
